can affect us at any time in our life, no matter how old or young we are, or how active our lifestyle can be. The shoulder is a very flexible joint and is quite susceptible to all kinds of injury. The elbow is also an important joint because it positions the hand to do the activities of every day living.
This may involve anything from dressing yourself to playing your favourite sport, be it competitive or just for fun. Your shoulder complaint may begin to interfere with your work and even the most menial tasks can become difficult.

This website has been developed by Mr Ford Qureshi, an NHS Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who works at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Bassetlaw Hospital in Worksop and the Montagu Hospital in Mexborough, Rotherham. He has a specialist interest in shoulder & elbow problems and also has a private practice at the Claremont Hospital in Sheffield and the Parkhill Hospital within Doncaster.
